Ingredients

  • 2 cups of cut corn
  • 2 tbs. oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 green chopped chilies
  • 1 tsp chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp ginger paste or grated ginger
  • 10 chopped curry leaves
  • ¼ tsp asafetida
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • ½ tsp red chili powder
  • ¼ tsp. turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp Scrapped fresh coconut for garnish
  • Chopped fresh cilantro or Dhania for garnish
  • Lemon juice from medium size lemon.




METHOD

  • Grate corn coarsely
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Add cumin seeds, green chilies, garlic and ginger. Mix well and sauté for 30 seconds
  • Add curry leaves and asafetida, mix and sauté for 20 seconds. Add grated corn, mix well & cook on a medium heat for 2 minutes
  • Add salt & sugar, mix well, cover & cook till mixture is dry
  • Transfer it to a nice dish and garnish it with fresh coconut, Cilantro or coriander & drizzle with lemon juice.

Serve it hot.
