METHOD
- Soak Soya Chunks in hot water for 15 minutes
- Soak rice for 25-30 minutes in water
- Squeeze Soya Chunks
- Take a bowl, add yogurt in it, red chili powder, turmeric powder & salt, mix well
- Add soaked & squeezed soya chunks in it and put aside for 30 minutes till marinated
- Keep pressure cooker on a stove and turn on stove on medium heat.
- Add Oil & when oil is little hot add cumin seeds, cardamom, cloves, bay leaves, cinnamon & roast these
- Add onions, green chilis & Sauté
- When onions are transparent add Ginger- Garlic paste and statue again
- Add tomatoes and sauté
- Add Turmeric Powder, Chili powder, Garam masala & sauté
- At this point add marinated soya chunks and cook for 4-5 minutes
- Add mint Leaves, coriander leaves and salt & mix well
- Add soaked rice and add water
- Add Saffron water
- Close the lid and pressure cook for 2-3 whistles
- Turn off stove and let it rest for 10 minutes
Soya chunk Pulao is ready and serve hot with cucumber Raita or any raita of your choice.
