Ingredients

  • 1 cup Chana or Chickpeas (soaked overnight)
  • 4 cups water
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 5-6 tsp. corn flour
  • Oil for frying.
  • For Sauce:
  • 4 tsp. oil
  • 1tsp. finally chopped ginger and Garlic
  • 1 medium size Onion
  • 1 Green Bell Pepper
  • 2 tsp. Vinegar
  • 3 tsp. Soya Sauce
  • 4 tsp. Tomato Ketchup
  • ½ tsp. pepper
  • 2 Green long Chilies (Silted)
  • 1 Tbsp. Spring Onion whites
  • 2 Tbsp. Spring Onion Green




METHOD

  • Add soaked Chana to a pressure cooker
  • Add enough water to cover it
  • Add salt to taste
  • Close the lid of pressure cooker and let pressure cook it on a medium heat
  • After 3 whistles let the cooker cool down
  • Open cooker & transfer Chana in to a Bowl
  • Sprinkle some salt & pepper over it and mix well by tossing the Chana
  • Add 4 tsp. of corn flour and toss until the Chana is completely coated
  • Heat 1 cup Oil in a pan on medium heat
  • Fry Chana in the hot oil for about 3 to 4 minutes
  • Once fried, remove Chana from the pan and drain the excess oil.
  • Take another pan & keep it on a medium heat.
  • Add 2tsp. oil
  • Add chopped garlic & onion & sauté for 2 minutes
  • Add bell pepper & sauté it
  • Add 2 tsp. white vinegar
  • Add 2 tsp. Soya Sauce
  • Add 1 or 2 tsp chili sauce or as per taste
  • Add 3 tsp. tomato Ketchup in to the pan.
  • Mix well & add pepper & green chilies.
  • Add spring onion white and Chana to the pan
  • Mix it well and transfer it to a nice Bowl.
  • Finally garnish with green spring onions.
  • Chana is ready to eat
